Not a headline I see often, but who knew they were this valuable

SUMTER, S.C. — A Florence man is facing grand larceny charges after authorities say he took swan eggs from a nest in Sumter.
Local media outlets report that visitors saw 30-year-old William Christopher McLaughlin of Florence enter an enclosed area of Swan Lakes Iris Gardens on Sunday afternoon and remove eggs from a nest.
A park ranger called Sumter police, who found the eggs in the man's car.
McLaughlin has been released on bond, and it wasn't known if he had an attorney. Park officials say the eggs are valued at between $1,400 and $4,500.
