top o' the mornin'®
Been teaching all morning, so this is the first opportunity I've had to drop by here. Pea's wish from yesterday (that the youth of the students rubs off on me) must have come true - I've been exhilarated by the teaching (which I knew would happen because I get the same rush when I teach Bible study each Sunday).

I am unusually brightened by this.earendel wrote:Been teaching all morning, so this is the first opportunity I've had to drop by here. You had to be open to being exhilarated. That takes something. Good for you.

My voice is a bit raspy and I'm still congested and coughing a little, but overall I'm not too bad off. The adrenaline rush of teaching helps keep those symptoms at bay.PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:I am glad that you are having a good day.
Are you still sick?

One addendum to my original post: I got to "fly solo" as a babysitter last night. elwing had a women's mission meeting to attend, so I was with my grandson all by myself. Things went very well - we ate, he had a diaper change, we played, then he slept until my son picked him up. It had been 20 years since I changed a diaper, and it was nice to know that the old skills are still in place. Not so much for elwing, however - she was changing Caden last week when he decided to "baptize" her while his diaper was off. She had forgotten Rule #1 when changing a boy baby - be sure he's covered.
