If only we'd allow more law abiding citizens with guns to wander around the Capitol, things like this would never happen.

The suspect attempted to go through the metal detectors at the Capitol Visitor Center entrance. When those magnetometers beeped, he was stopped by security and then pulled out a gun. A Capitol police officer then shot him, sources tell CNN.

So you are saying the shooter is "law abiding"? Boy are you wrong!

Of course not. That's why we need lots and lots and lots of law abiding citizens patrolling the halls of Congress to keep our elected officials safe; we could save so much money by scrapping all those metal detectors and security guards and X-ray machines and just rely on people like BiT and his buddies to do the job. I'm sure every Congressman and Senator would breath a big sigh of relief if that happened, knowing that no deranged nutcase would stand a chance with all those law abiding citizens on patrol.

Then I fail to see any point, other than to be Trumplike, to your post (the first and this most recent one).
So, good job! (on being Trumplike).

Wow- you held off for two whole minutes.
I applaud your restraint.

Just noticing again that SSS (and BobJuch) never informs us of shootings, in say-the Bronx, Chicago's South Side, Newark, Flint, Detroit, New Orleans-etc.
Gee, I wonder why that could be.
Apparently, they have the soft bigotry of low expectations.

605 shootings in Chicago this year should have yielded any number of episodes for SSS and BobJ to inform us about.
But, where are the orgasmic postings about any of those?

It's because they're so commonplace I never hear about them.

Every one of which would have supported my point that we need to do more to take guns out of circulation.

Why should we take guns out of circulation in the Dakotas, Montana, etc with statistically insignificant shooting rates? when the problem is largely with the "Faux Manhood" cultures of the ghettos and barrios?

And the overwhelming majority of these incidents are with illegally obtained guns in the first place.

2014 Deaths due to Injuries by Firearms per 100,000 Population (US Average = 10.3)
North Dakota 12.3
South Dakota 10.3
Montana 16.1
By comparison:
New York 4.2
California 7.4
Illinois 9.0

I guess there's more of a problem in the "Faux Manhood" culture of the Great Plains than of the ghettos and barrios.

There's apparently a petition making the rounds on change.org to allow open carry at the Republican National Convention. The Secret Service isn't buying it. --Bob
