Okay, now that I've shown that I can strike most of you out, I'll go back to throwing some batting practice. All of these songs have something in their titles that unites them as a theme.
1. Look out or they'll tell you
You're a superstar
Two weeks and you're an all-time legend
I think the games have gone much too far
2. Performing on a stool, we've a sight to make you drool
Seven virgins and a mule
Keep it cool, keep it cool
3. You walked out of my dream
Into my arms
Now you're my angel divine
4. Lines form on my face and my hands
Lines form on the left and right
I'm in the middle
The middle of life
5. So many things can get you high
I'm gonna try em all just once before I die
And you can analyze this situation
To me it's all just mental masturbation
6. I could be handy, mending a fuse
When your lights have gone
You can knit a sweater by the fireside
Sunday mornings go for a ride
7. I remember how she left me on a stormy night
She kissed me and got out of our bed
And though I pleaded and I begged her not to walk out that door
She packed her bags and turned right away
8. Holding onto
Words that teach me
I will conquer
Space around me
Maybe I'll Win
9. Man, we were killin' time
We were young and restless
We needed to unwind
I guess nothin' can last forever… forever, no
10. Too many teardrops for one heart to be cryin'
Too many teardrops for one heart to carry on
You're way on top now since you left me
You're always laughin' way down at me
Bonus: Identify today's theme.
Double Bonus: What is the real name of the singer for song #7, and who gave him his stage name? (10 points each)
Final Bonus: Why are the events described in song #9 unlikely to have been based on real life experience?

Final Bonus: Why are the events described in song #9 unlikely to have been based on real life experience?
I suppose in 1969 Bryan Adams was maybe in elementary school?

1. "Goody Two Shoes", Adam Ant
2. pass
3. "You're Sixteen", Ringo Starr
4. pass
5. pass
6. "When I'm 64", the Beatles
7. "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad", Meat Loaf
8. pass
9. "Summer of '69", Bryan Adams
10. "96 Tears", ? and the Mysterians
Bonus: numerical titles
Double Bonus: Marvin Aday... I saw his biographical film years ago, but I can't remember who gave him his stage name
Final Bonus: because Bryan Adams was only 9 or 10 years old in the summer of 1969
Interestingly enough, both "Summer of '69" and "96 Tears" had underlying references to the 69 sexual position.

Years back, I had a big argument with a coworker over whether or not Adams says "Me and my baby in '69" or "Me and my baby in a 69" near the end of the song. It's not written that way in the liner notes (obviously), but it sure sounds like he puts "a" in there.

Well, the obvious answer is that they describe someone who rocks and who has some soul, which kind of rules out Bryan Adams.
Also, he was much too young for any of the stuff he describes.

Songs with numbers in the titles
Double Bonus: What is the real name of the singer for song #7, and who gave him his stage name? (10 points each)
Marvin Lee Aday. He picked up the nickname "Meat Loaf" from his high school football coach, supposedly when he stepped on the coach's foot.
Final Bonus: Why are the events described in song #9 unlikely to have been based on real life experience?
Adams was born on 11/5/59, so he would have only been 9 years old during the summer of 1969 and unlikely to have experience all the grown-up things described in the story (like a band member running off to get married)... which lends even more creedance to the theory that the song is not about the year but the sexual position instead.
