Ohio Primary

#1 Post by Pastor Fireball » Tue Mar 15, 2016 11:52 am

Up until today, I had no idea if Hillary or Bernie would get my primary vote. In November, I'm voting for whoever ultimately gets the Democratic nomination. It's just that I didn't have a clear preference going into the booth this morning.

Just for the hell of it, I voted for Bernie... even though he probably has no chance of winning either my state's primary or my party's nomination.

There's a serious school of thought going around that this type of thinking was a significant contributing factor to Bernie's win in Michigan.

When the whole thing began it seemed strange to me that with no incumbent in the race there were so few candidates on the Democratic side. There are other people such as Cory Booker who would have been strong candidates, but I suspect the DNC asked them to sit this one out to clear the path for Clinton. They probably did not expect Sanders, who is not even a Democrat, to enter the race.

I think it hysterical that the two candidates that probably have the best chance of winning the general for their respective parties- Kasich and Sanders- can't win their party's respective nominations.

Hillary survived the loss of your vote rather well.
