Stabbings around the world

Philadelphia and Tel Aviv are sister cities (and places I've lived), and on Tuesday they were the scenes of eerily similar stabbing attacks.
In Tel Aviv, a Palestinian assailant ran around the Jaffa port district, stabbing seven bystanders. One of them died: Taylor Force, a West Point graduate, U.S. Army combat veteran, and Vanderbilt grad student who was visiting Israel. Police killed the attacker.
At about the same time in Philly, a criminal ran down Baltimore Avenue, stabbing three bystanders. One of them, Nathan Ackison, died. The perp was arrested.
Tuesday was a very violent day in both places, with several shooting and knife attacks in Israel and five gun murders in Philly. The spike in attacks in Israel coincides with V.P. Biden's visit there. In Philly, all it took was warm weather.
