Hopefully it will be the one that has yet to win anything.

I was wondering if anybody else caught that Boston Globe article about the name Trump being an Americanized form of the German name Drumpf.

That video is awesome...especially the bit about the name.

Makes me realize how better off the world would have been had Alois Heidler's uncle not legitimized him, and then the world might never have heard of Adolf Schicklgruber (of course, I don't know whether that sounds more silly to Germans than "Hitler").

It is possible that Trump is not really as bad as his campaign has made him look, but he still should not be winning. He has said and done at least a dozen things that in past years would have ended his campaign and possibly gotten him banished to an island somewhere. But people are angry at government now, and some of that anger is misplaced. Some of it should go to the business world because it is not the government that is sending jobs overseas and holding wages down.

First polls of "Super Tuesday" have closed.

On the Republican side, megalomaniacal manatee with a spaghetti hat Donald Drumpf has won Georgia. Vermont and Virginia are too close to call. Kasich is battling for #1 in Vermont and Rubio is battling for #1 in Virginia.

On the Democratic side, Ann Taylor harpy Hillary Clinton won Georgia and Virginia, and Ben & Jerry whore Bernie Sanders won his home state of Vermont.

8 PM polls are closed.

Clinton wins Alabama and Tennessee. Massachusetts and Oklahoma are too close to call.

Trump wins Alabama, Massachusetts, and Tennessee. Oklahoma is too close between Trump and Cruz.

Texas closes at 9 PM.

The Republican establishment is rallying against Trump. Fifty of them had this to say:
His vision of American influence and power in the world is wildly inconsistent and unmoored in principle. He swings from isolationism to military adventurism within the space of one sentence.

His advocacy for aggressively waging trade wars is a recipe for economic disaster in a globally connected world.

His embrace of the expansive use of torture is inexcusable.

His hateful, anti-Muslim rhetoric undercuts the seriousness of combatting Islamic radicalism by alienating partners in the Islamic world making significant contributions to the effort. Furthermore, it endangers the safety and Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms of American Muslims.

Controlling our border and preventing illegal immigration is a serious issue, but his insistence that Mexico will fund a wall on the southern border inflames unhelpful passions, and rests on an utter misreading of, and contempt for, our southern neighbor.

Similarly, his insistence that close allies such as Japan must pay vast sums for protection is the sentiment of a racketeer, not the leader of the alliances that have served us so well since World War II.

He is fundamentally dishonest.
Mitt Romney will be making an anti-Trump speech today. An excerpt:
His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University. He's playing the American public for suckers: He gets a free ride to the White House and all we get is a lousy hat.
I remember the Goldwater and McGovern disasters, but I've never seen anything like this. I don't know what their game plan is: rally behind Rubio or hope for an open convention? If they fail, I'm sure the Clinton campaign will be repeating these quotes endlessly.
