I played early this morning and at the time I was 4th on the leaderboard, that must have crashed it.

It's still dead for me. I didn't get to play the last day of the month, which is key for rankings, assuming it might work again in the future.

It worked fine for me around 7 PM PST. Used Google Chrome. I just looked at e-mails and even got the Sploofus reminder for Monday, and those are sporadic, at best.
A child of five would understand this. Send someone to fetch a child of five.

If you've tried to access Sploofus in the last 24 hours, it's possible that you haven't been able to get in.
We're writing to give you some background and to let you know the current status of the site.
Many Sploofus members were unable to log in to the site on Monday, and access continues to be limited.
We reported this to our tech expert Monday morning. He said that after rebooting the servers, he was unable to access a piece of equipment called the load balancer. (See this Wikipedia article for info on load balancing: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Load_bala ... mputing%29 )
Due to this, he contacted the Data Center where the servers are located so that the Data Center can check on things at their end.
In addition, based on talks with a Sploofus player who's also a tech person, it's possible that the problem is in the domain name system (DNS) and that it's not routing properly.
We forwarded that info to our tech expert.
So, please rest assured that we're aware of the problems, and we're doing everything we can to get them resolved as soon as possible.
Once Sploofus is back to normal, please bear with us. It will take us a while, for example, to deal with the word puzzle queue.

That does not appear consistent with the official Sploofus explanation. If this is true, they haven't paid to renew the domain name. I looked up a Sploofus fan page on Facebook last night. Someone said that it will be up and fully running in a few days for everyone. Some people are getting through but it's real spotty.
