Trump vs. The First Amendment

Donald
wants to "open up" libel laws so he can more easily sue news organizations that publish stories about him he doesn't like. He's probably not aware that current restrictions on libel laws, as applied to public figures, are required by the First Amendment. This being the Donald, he may well be unaware that there is a First Amendment. --Bob

The neon-orange colostomy bag apparently hasn't realized the most important thing: You can't win any libel suits when the news organizations publish the truth about you.

He doesn't realize it is a two way street. Its apparent he has not been on two way streets in a long time, if ever.
Much of what he says about people is libel, as much or more than what folks say about him is.

While I agree he was a patsy, he made it easy for the government to do so by getting a criminal record before he released the video.
But it's not a case of abuse of his First Amendment rights.
