Chris Cho encore today?

This week, we've been treated to a special week benefitting Shriner's Hospital, and we've been hearing that a special guest would be playing on Friday for charity. Instead, according to Twitter, it looks like a rerun of Chris Cho's game will be played.
Anyone know the story here?

The Chris Cho rerun aired in my market. As to why, I have no idea. Movie Week next week.

Seems curious that they wouldn't have edited the Friday plugs out of the previous shows. Makes it seem like a very last minute decision to pull the show. Maybe a question about Scalia or Ghali was asked, and they didn't want to show it?

I found a possible explanation:
(January 21)
"Shriners Hospitals for Children" February 15-19 - "Millionaire" partners with The Shriners Hospitals for Children to raise money for this special cause. Celebrity contestant and U.S. Paralympic track star Blake Leeper will donate all of his winnings when he plays on February 19.
(February 2)
Paralympian Blake Leeper banned from sport for 1 year for anti-doping violation

Good detective work. That must have been it.

I at least hope the Shriners got some money out of it. BAM, not the doping.

Well, that was inconvenient for TPTB.
But what I don't understand is this: if TPTB thought that a celebrity contestant would gather higher ratings than just letting a regular contestant play, wouldn't it be prudent to advertise the celebrity's name? Or did they really think that "a special guest" would be a bigger draw than the celebrity they actually had lined up?

I'm admittedly not a follower of the Paralympics, but that name meant exactly nothing to me. Saying "a special guest" at least had me playing the Who Could It Be game.

I don't think so.

ABC narrowly avoided a similar situation on the Celebrity Millionaire season finale on Thursday, except this time it’s the host who was banned.
