Lyrically Speaking - 2/18/16

When LB asked his most popular creation to host an LSWE game for him, I assumed he managed to find 12 songs that had to do with majestic unicorns. Nope... of course he didn't, because nobody ever writes songs about unicorns. So I'll have to make do with a horse theme instead. There's a direct or indirect equine connection in each of the songs below. If anyone would like to rub my horn for good luck, I'll be over in the Ted Cruz thread making everyone there happy and cheerful.... or possibly goring a few BB's...
1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist...
1. But I said no, no, no, no-no-no
I said no, no, you're not the one for me
No, no, no, no-no-no
I said no, no, you're not the one for me
2. Riding into town alone
By the light of the moon
I'm looking for ole Sukie Jones
She crazy horse saloon
3. The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz
And the sky with no clouds
The heat was hot and the ground was dry
But the air was full of sound
4. Did you find the directing sign on the
Straight and narrow highway
Would you mind a reflecting sign
Just let it shine within your mind
And show you the colors that are real
5. Ten silver saxes,
a bass with a bow
The drummer relaxes
and waits between shows
6. Rose and Valerie
Screaming from the gallery
Say he must go free
7. You been running all over the town now.
Oh! I guess I'll have to put your flat feet on the ground.
8. By the dark of the moon I planted
But there came an early snow
There's been a hoot owl howling outside my window now
For six nights in a row
9. It's in the palm of your hand now baby
It's a yes or no, no maybe
So just be sure before you give it up to me
Up to me, give it up to me
10. Yes and I ain't saying you ain't pretty
All I'm sayin's that I'm not ready
For any person, place or thing
To try and pull the reins in on me
11. Riding on the chuck wagon,
Following my man.
His name is Ted,
Can you believe that?
12. The question to everyone's answer
Is usually asked from within
But the patterns of the rain
And the truth they contain
Have written my life on your skin
Kroxquo Bonus: Name another song with artist that can in some way relate to a horse.
