This site is worth checking out for anyone interested in movies "based on a true story." It's History vs. Hollywood ( http://www.historyvshollywood.com/) and as the name implies, it checks out historically based movies to see how accurate they are. Usually it does so in the form of a number of questions about events in the movie, phrased as "Did ____ really occur?" so obviously there are potential spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen the movie. When possible they have pictures of the various actors and their real life counterparts so you can see how much or little physical resemblance there is as well.

In many cases the actual facts are more interesting than the movie version. Among recent movies they discuss are: The Finest Hours, 13 Hours, The Revenant, Joy, The Danish Girl, Concussion, Spotlight, and The Big Short. They also have a TV section, so I would expect them to discuss the O.J. Simpson and Bernie Madoff miniseries in the near future as well.

I wish they had analyzed the recent movie "Truth" with Robert Redford as Dan Rather. A friend of mine was played by Topher Grace.
