I'm somewhat flattered that the CEO of a major international private equity company would approach me with an investment opportunity so sensitive that he has to use his private e-mail to discuss it.
I'm even more flattered that some scam artist would think I'm doing well enough to even waste type trying to scam me with a come-on like this. But I give him credit for trying something more sophisticated than the usual Nigerian oil minister. Not only that, but I received two other e-mails from people supposedly overseas in the last couple of days wanting to know if I would help them as an attorney collect moneys they were owed in various international transactions. And I had another phone call today from Windows technical support.
It's good to know that there's some people out there who think I'm doing well.
