Shots fired at mall in Gastonia

GASTONIA, N.C. (WNCN) — Shots were fired at a mall in Gaston County on Monday afternoon, WSOC-TV in Charlotte reported.
The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. outside Eastridge Mall in Gastonia, the TV station reported.
In images from WBTV, there were many police officers gathered in the mall parking lot.
WSOC reported that after police responded more shots were fired.
The shots were fired outside the food court outside the mall, according to WSOC.
WBTV reported that at least one person was taken to an ambulance on a stretcher.
