5K: 1st I've ever heard of this, & I read a lot of archaeological stuff, too. But only C makes sense in context.

7K: got it 'cause recognize Marshall, not any of the rappers' real names.

The Wikipedia article Boustrophedon has some pictures of that kind of writing. BTW, earth imaging satellites use a similar scheme to cover an area on the ground. It's called whisk broom scanning.
