RI? Al Jazeera America

I'm not sure how this qualifies, but the network will conclude operations by April 30. During their almost three years on air, the biggest "scoop" they had was the report linking Peyton Manning and other prominent athletes to performance enhancing drugs, a report that's been pretty much debunked.

There's at least one interested party in buying the network, One America News Network, a conservative news network that wants to rival Fox. I would guess that if that deal goes through, the tone of the on-air programming would change considerably.

I think this is the network that replaced Current TV, which unsurprisingly went south after Al Gore cashed out and Keith Olbermann (the network's biggest ratings draw) got fired.

I prefer to get my news from Comedy Central anyway, so I'm not sorry to see AJA go.

"Wants to" doesn't do One America News any justice. I've always described OAN as the network for people who hate FOX News because they think FOX News is run by liberals. Sarah Palin used to have her own show on OAN, so... yeah. They openly out-FOX FOX.
