I recognized the guy and his +1 son on the 12/30 episode of WWTBAM. I remember those guys from several years ago when the son was in the University of Louisville marching band and the father pushed him around the field in his wheelchair. They got a lot of news coverage and I'm sure served to inspire many. I was in Louisville last week when this episode aired, and I didn't see any local coverage of their appearance on the show. Maybe I missed it. I don't even know when or if WWTBAM is broadcast in Louisville.
I Googled Patrick Hughes and found this interesting article from October. It appears to have an unauthorized spoiler about the outcome of the WWTBAM episode, but the more interesting part is about the family's appearances on Family Feud. According to this, they originally appeared on the show and were brought back for a return appearance when the show made an error. So they appeared again and the show made another error and brought them back a third time. Does anyone here watch Family Feud and remember the circumstances of the errors? I've never heard anything about it before. On the current version of Family Feud, do winning teams normally keep returning for the next episode as long as they keep winning?
