Sorry this is late, I was doing Junior Achievement in Jackson's class.

How are you doing with health fitness?

I'm okay. My exercise has been very efficient. I'm sore.

Traveling and suffering with a sinus headache for 4 days set me back.

I just got a stability ball. Love it, love it! I can't believe what a good workout I'm getting. Wel worth the money - I didn't get mine at Wal Mart, but this is the exact one I have. It's weighted.

I think I might be even better tomorrow.

Just now, I was snuggling with my mom on the couch, and she was giving me very nice pets on my tummy and under my arm. All of a sudden, she jumped up and ran to the phone. I could tell she was calling the vet's office. From what I heard her say, I've evidently had a row of metal staples under my arm ever since my surgery at the emergency place in December. She didn't know they were there. Mr. Doctor David, my regular vet who removed stitches a long time ago, didn't know they were there. I didn't either. I thought that Lizbit was sneaking up and biting me there sometimes when I wasn't looking.

I will go have those darn metal teeth removed first thing in the morning! Then, on Monday, I get to go back to see the nice veterinary surgeon. My back isn't closed up all the way yet, but the opening is down to about the size of my mom's finger from the tip to the first knuckle. Pretty good, huh?

I haven't been checking in here, but been watching my weight through WW's at work program. We formed a group of 23 staffers and we have a rep come to our building. It's working out great because less people are bringing junk to work.

i've been able to lose 7.8 pounds in 5 weeks, so it's slow and steady. Been walking around outside work so I'm increasing activity. I'm waiting for the weather to shape up so I can keep walking outside. It's so much better than a treadmill.

Weights went well this week - I will do the nasty stairs at school tomorrow several times.

I got to walk four days this week, and the scales are moving in the right direction. I'm enjoying the new job, even with the tornado warning this afternoon. Unfortunately, I get to take a road trip next week with the new job, so that'll be tough to keep up the good habits.

Bingo had to endure a bath tonight. We're going to the "Basset Hound Hoedown Bash" tomorrow in Birmingham.

Yikes, Annie! It's a good thing your mom discovered it and you'll be just fine by early next week.

Not a good week. Not enough sleep - like, really not enough sleep. I walked in what I call heels for too many miles and have blisters on the balls of my feet.

I have learned my lesson.

You are a good healer, Annie. Not everyone is.

You have a great advocate who keeps her eyes and ears open. Not everyone has that either.

You are a lucky girl.

Not good. Not enough days at the gym (but I did get out for 18 holes on opening day on Tuesday) and non good in the portion control.

Heading out to Jamestown for the ND Golf Association board meeting. Might get to play after the meeting. I will not listen to the radio on the way home as I am taping the Masters and do not want to know scores before I watch.

I got my staples out. I was worried when I went into the doctor's office. I thought it would hurt a lot, and maybe they'd have to give me one of those go-to-sleep shots. It didn't, and they didn't. After Mr. Doctor David explained to me what he was going to do, I laid on my side and held very still. He had a special tool that bent those suckers in just the right way so they came out without biting any more. There were a lot of them, but they were smaller than I thought. They felt much bigger!

I'm still Mr. Doctor David's favorite patient.

Yay for Mr. Doctor David. He's a real winner! I'm sure having good patients such as yourself make his job a lot easier.

Glad your staples have been removed. :D

Thank you, Miss Kay. Because the doctor table is sized generously for cats and little froufrou dogs but not so much for a big, tall girl like me, I laid down on the floor. When he kneeled down next to me and bent over to use his special staple-removing tool, his face was very near mine. I turned my head to give him a wet kiss on the cheek. He showed all his teeth with a big smile, so I think he liked it.

My mom didn't even have to pay any money.

That's even better! Those wet kisses must really work. :D

Yay on the staples! My kitty would never hold still for something like that, except sometimes he will if they let me stay with him. Otherwise they write down that he is "fractious," and needs a sedative.

It was a fairly good week. Although I missed a couple mornings at the gym, the weather is becoming much better for walking. It will be this week, too, aside from today and tomorrow.

Friday's weight = 195.2. Moving average - 194.4.

Yay for Dr. David getting the staples out, Annie!
