Known as the "Clown Prince of Basketball," he played for 25 years for the Harlem Globetrotters and had his number retired by the team. The Globetrotters will dedicate the upcoming 90th season to Lemon and another Trotters legend, Marques Haynes, who died earlier this year. Lemon developed some of the Globetrotters' best known comedy routines like running around with a bucket of confetti, pretending it was water that he intended to splash on the referees. or starting an impromptu baseball game during the middle of the basketball game. Sadly, he left the Globetrotters in 1978 after a salary dispute with new ownership and organized his own comic team, that played with considerably lesser success under several names, until he was in his 70's.

Age 83.
