When Subcontractors Collide

The company I am contracting with is going through a transition, replacing one Bangalore data group with another Bangalore data group.
As a part of this, they're taking over posting a variety of journal entries, which has up until now been handled by other divisions. But it's basically grunt work -- we submit the files, they drop it into the error-trapping routines and post it (unless there are errors, in which they tell us). Needless to say, this is kind of a critical activity in accounting.
So, now that they've gone live this week, nothing has been posted. Previously, due to the volume of the corporate-wide activity (and it's a global thing, not just US) it normally takes about 24 hours for things to post.
So why hasn't anything been posted? Because nobody told the other subcontractor who handles IT issues (they're in Mexico) that the new Bangalore folks need access to key subdirectories on the servers.
Mind you, I fought that war when I first got here. It took them two weeks to get that straight where I could have access to what I needed.
Ugh.
