A white man in his 40s dressed in hunting gear is either still in Planned Parenthood or nearby. Several victims have been reported including a police officer.

Police in Colorado Springs say three officers have been injured in a shooting near a Planned Parenthood clinic and the gunman has been contained

Commander Kirk Wilson told KKTV that two of the officers were evacuated Friday and authorities are still trying to reach the third.

He couldn't immediately say how the officers were doing or how the gunman was stopped.

One officer and 2 others killed. Nine others injured (five of them officers), non-life-threatening.

Gunman was captured. He may be from one of the Carolinas (early reports make me think peeps are not sure which Carolina is which, though to be fair, I am not entirely sure which Dakota is which).

Planned Parenthood clinic may not have been the target but it's too soon to know for sure.

I was reading about something else earlier this week and surfed into a site that says the Outlaws and other motorcycle gangs are actively recruiting in the Colorado Springs area because of the number of military and ex-military men in the area. I was shocked and appalled, as always, when somebody who insists he's pro-life goes off and kills somebody, but I wasn't surprised it was Colorado Springs. I expect violence to escalate in that area in the future.

Skoop, your paper has a picture of the house the murderer lived in while in Black Mountain. The house is described as being without electricity or water. Perhaps they could have explained the electricity meter shown in the photo.

Ugh. I will ask.

They think it is for the larger house attached to the little one, or that it was added recently.

I think they have removed it from the story, though.
