Fargo renewed for season 3
And season 2 is only halfway done, and I'm loving it.
This is excellent news. I only saw the final two episodes of season 1. I need to find the entire season on demand somewhere and watch it.

Season 2 has shown 7 out of 10 episodes. FX can be good at the quality over quantity. Renewing the show for S3 had to be an easy decision with the network showing one of the best programs on TV.
Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman were terrific in S1 and you will be in for a treat catching up on the episodes you did not see.

The second season has all new actors from the first season and is set 30 years earlier, but the main character in the second season, a sheriff's deputy played by Patrick Wilson, also appears in the first season (played by Keith Carradine) who is now the father of another key character (another sheriff's deputy, who appears as a little girl in Season 2). What's interesting is that the writers dropped hints toward the end of Season 1 in which Carradine "reminisced" about some of the events that would occur in Season 2. I'm guessing they're going to do the same thing this time and do some foreshadowing as well. One guess might be that Season 3 will go even farther back to the 1950's and show the rise of the Gearhart family who are main characters in Season 2 (they've already had one flashback).
One of my favorite sequences this season had guest star Bruce Campbell doing a killer Ronald Reagan impression.

If you want to add it to your collection, both Best Buy and Target have the DVD on sale right now for $9.99 and $10, respectively. The Blu-ray version is $29.47, $24.99 or $31.99 at Amazon, Tgt or BB.

Just finished up Season 1 (went ahead and purchased on Amazon Prime). I'm not sure which season I enjoyed more; 1 or 2. But I'm anxiously awaiting Season 3 that premieres April 19.
Better Call Saul Season 3 premieres the week before on April 10.

I'm still working my way through
Breaking Bad on Netflix. I figure I should finish that before starting
Better Call Saul. --Bob

Ewan McGregor heads the cast this season, playing a dual role as non-twin brothers. The season is set in 2010, four years after the events in Season 1 took place. Apparently there will be some overlap with earlier seasons, but the producers are keeping the details very close to the vest (it wouldn't be a surprise if some of the surviving characters from Season 1 showed up).

Not many to choose from, though.

I love the movie... so, needless to say, I also love this show.
FX is also home to another one of my favorite current shows,
Atlanta. Unfortunately, its second season
won't air until next year because Donald "Childish Gambino" Glover is busy working on the new
Star Wars movie and the new
Lion King reboot.
