RIP John Anderson, USN

John Anderson, 98, died last Saturday. He was (previously) the oldest-surviving member of the crew aboard the USS Arizona when it was bombed on December 7, 1941.

As with many of the Arizona survivors, some of his ashes will be interred aboard the ship to be with his shipmates, which include his brother, who died in the attack on the battleship.
There are seven remaining survivors of the Arizona from the Pearl Harbor attack, all in their nineties.
