Many on the left accuse those on the right of exaggerated claims that "gay marriage will lead to polygamy, incestuous marriages, and even bestiality".

The accusations of exaggerated claims were made when those on the right opposed gay couple adoptions.

Day care workers fired for refusing to acknowledge girl, 6, as boy

This case involves a little 6-year-old girl who has been attending a private school in Katy, Texas for the last four months as a little girl. She has parents who are a same sex couple, two men, who decided that she was transgender," Taylor said Tuesday afternoon at a news conference. "On Friday, that little girl left school, I'm not going to use names, but known to everybody as 'Sally,' and on Monday, this little girl returns to school calling herself 'Johnny.'"

My initial thoughts, besides arresting the two men for child abuse, is "These gay activists are using this child as a pawn in their twisted fight for equal rights."

I have many other thoughts, but probably shouldn't post them, here or elsewhere.

It strikes me that all you know about this story is what you've been told by the lawyer for the fired workers. The same lawyer who just successfully advocated for the repeal of Houston's HERO ordinance.

Perhaps the kid's parents are more interested in his best interests than this lawyer is. I certainly don't see how making this a national story is helping the kid. The lawyer, sure. The clients, quite possibly. But the kid? Not likely. --Bob

I don't know what to think. The only thing I know is that we, as a society, are slowly progressing towards insanity in many areas.

The fact that someone who is proud to have a picture of him standing next to Ben Carson as an avatar then complains about exaggerations is troubling.

And here's another story in Houston about a heterosexual couple with a transgendered child, who began expressing himself at the age of three.

So, it's not a case of two gay men trying to force their "gay" agenda on a child or a school. It's a case of parents trying to do the best in a difficult situation.

So, your test for being a presidential candidate is being a good parent.

And yes, Carson could learn a thing or two about things that really matter for a U.S. President, like foreign policy, evolution, science in general, our current immigration laws, and the economy. Of course, that puts him right in step with much of the Republican base which is equally clueless on these issues.

Ben Carson allows people like BiT and Flock to feel good about themselves not being racists despite their affinity for many, many policies that not coincidentally have a detrimental effect on various minoriites. How Ben Carson appeals to white Republican guilt (he's Herman Cain without the latter's womanizing and business acumen):
