She was a delight. The last time I saw one of her movies, it was Dance, Girl, Dance, co-starring Lucille Ball. I remember thinking that it was shame it was black and white, and we couldn't see their beautiful red hair. Then I looked it up. Lucille had light brown hair, and Maureen's was described as chestnut until they started dyeing it red. Then Maureen was "the queen of Technicolor." She was great, and I'm glad she had such a long life.

Re: RIP Maureen O'Hara
This made me sad. As a kid, I thought she was the most beautiful woman in the world, both inside and out. I never saw or heard anything to make me revise that opinion.
I was surprised to hear she had been living in Boise, ID. I will never again be surprised by anything that Boise has to offer.

Read her autobiography (Tis Her) a few years ago so going off memory. After a disastrous first marriage and an abusive long-term relationship-she married the love of her life (together about a decade)-she thought he had intelligence ties and that had something to do with his death in a plane crash.
