It was a nice catch as Moose"s home run cleared the wall.

I find it incredibly ironic that every time an outfielder leaps to catch a ball in front of the wall, he "robbed" the batter of a homer.... yet every time a fan catches a ball behind the wall, the fan "interfered" with the ball in play. You can't have it both ways... and in most actual cases, both assumptions are wrong.

I hope that you are not one of them.

Been shown repeatedly that the ball cleared the padding when it was touched/caught. Oversight shot showed it, during the game and the ESPN replay shows it from 18-19 seconds into the 24 second clip. Per the ground rules of the park, it was a homer.

Looked like it was a good game, though.

I just saw an MLB story that observed this will be the first World Series ever between two expansion teams. Every previous Fall Classic has included at least one of the original 16 teams. --Bob

Is Louisville one of the "original 16 teams"? Because I grew up being told that Louisville was considered a major league team when Honus Wagner was on the team.

But the rather odd situation of there being exactly one team from each of baseball's six expansion classes who have won at least one championship will continue on. In fact, any chance of breaking that died when the Astros and Rangers were eliminated...
