It boils down to who was Truman's VP in 1948. Barkley is from Kentucky.

All of these are vertebrates. I was leaning toward "fish" but would have used 50:50 as a confidence-builder.

5K: I don't speak Spanish, but was able to eliminate A (just saw a Sunday Morning piece on it, & "Gigante" does translate easily), C (Amore = Love. I think.) D can't translate but think its "The Gordo & la Flaca". Whatever that means. leaving B as most likely.

7K: Oh crap. Can't remember an iconic-looking house for Poltergeist. Well, do recall sort of a big house, not Hopper-y. Never saw Ghostbusters. Or The Shining, for that matter, but know it takes place in a hotel, not a house. And know Psycho mostly takes place in Bates Motel. Which is small enough to be a house.

Might burn a lot of lifelines here. Start with +1. Who knows. They may know.

20K: Marshmallows only choice that makes sense. In this rare case for a BAM Q, sense does matter, as there's science involved, not just BAM Q-writers' whims. You wouldn't want pebbles (ouch! Dentist!) or mints (taste; not everything needs mint taste) & pinto beans would suck up any moisture, not provide it. I think.

50K: species unknown to me, but logic says probably not mammal as big as rabbit. Science of what they take on space flights does count here. You wouldn't want mice loose in your craft. Just in case they do get loose. But mice are possibility. Snake reproduction requires more environmental concerns. I like fish, but 50/50 here.
