In Back to the Future Part II, Doc Brown's time machine transports Marty McFly to October 21, 2015. In this Toyota ad, Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox discuss the movie's vision of the future.

The movie also predicted that the Cubs will win the World Series. That's even more far-fetched than a hoverboard.

Toyota has posted a bunch of videos about its hydrogen-fueled Mirai. One of them stars Lloyd and Fox, and another is called “Fueled by Bullsh*t.”

And it could end up being the day the Cubs get eliminated from postseason play.... which would be uncannily ironic.

Also uncannily ironic is that the losing expansion franchise that didn't even exist when the movie was being made has won two World Series to the Cubs' zilch...

From Twitter:

Back to the Future II predicted that someone would amass a fortune through rigged sports betting, which is utterly ridiculous.

Didn't that happen just last week? (OK, not rigged, but by using inside information?)

Daily fantasy players appear concerned a DraftKings employee who said he accidentally posted data online showing which NFL players were being picked the most for draft lineups for a day's contest, may have also benefited from the information when he won second place and $350,000 on competing daily fantasy site, FanDuel, the same day.
