Although I knew the answer, I was taken aback by this setup. With the answers being three world capitals, and the D answer being Ikea, many long-time viewers like our contestant are simply conditioned to ignore that answer. Heck, the audience even laughed at it.

That's true, but "Snapping selfies in kitchens you can't afford" has NOTHING to do with any of those world capitals. You gotta read the questions...

Just came across this today while doing a Google search to see if the show's been cancelled yet after last week's equally shocking plug-pull on the higher-rated 'Celebrity Name Game'.

Problem is, Italy is also well known for their meatballs and pasta, perhaps even more so than IKEA's Swedish fare.

In light of what Brenton said just before this ... 'question' ... came up, I think this post from Reddit sums it up:
"That moment you realize all your hard work and studying doesn't amount to **** when it comes to appeasing the ignorance of the masses."

Edit: found it on YouTube. Watch and pray for the future of SyndieBAM.

Is it also a problem that Italians allow twentysomething strangers into their kitchens to snap selfies? The answer has to satisfy both arguments.

So far so good.

This was a horrible goof for contestant. When traveling, you generally aren't going to be in kitchens. I didn't know they fed you at Ikea until info like this, though.
