20K I think its "A" but waste my 50/50 to be sure

30K sure Hanks & pretty sure Roberts are both over 5'6"; even if Roberts is not, have seen Brockovitch & she's not 6'2".

Think Day-Lewis is over 5'6".

Know Child is at least 6'2" so go w/ C.

I saw Child in real life shopping at Savenor's on Kirkland in Cambridge when I lived on Magnolia Ave, around the corner. She was with her husband, who she was much taller than. I was almost 5'5" at the time (I've since shrunk an inch) so could tell how tall Mrs. Child really was.

ATA. Torn between nickel and zinc.

Eliminate D immediately since Lincoln was 6'4". 6'2" sounds about right for Julia Child, and 5'6" for Meryl Streep as well, so I'd go for it.

Incidentally, for completeness:
Julia Roberts: 5'9". Erin Brockovich: 5'10"
Tom Hanks: 6'0". Walt Disney: 5'10"
Daniel Day-Lewis: 6'2". Abraham Lincoln: 6'4".

I wonder how many people considered the possibility that the actor might be the 6'2" one, not the character.

50:50. When D stays up there, fire away.

$5k: ATA.

$7k: +1

$10k: I narrowed it down to Iron and Zinc, so 50/50 and hope Iron goes.

$20k: Super easy for a $20k question. After spending a minute or two double-checking myself I'd definitely go with A.

$30k: Thank you and good night, as I'd be walking with $20,000 here. :)

Sounds like a promising partnership, but usually when trivia is the tag, disaster ensues.

Before the choices came up, I was sure one of the choices would have been Peter O'Toole & the real Lawrence of Arabia. Except that wasn't the order the Q was going in; they wanted you to assume actor would be shorter than Real Person. Lawrence was notoriously Very Short. I've read that the Bedouin chieftains thought of him as sort of a kid-mascot because of his short stature. Which lead them not to be as antagonized by his giving advice, & because they had taken to thinking of him as a younger family member with insight into geopolitics, to take it.
