I saw Child in real life shopping at Savenor's on Kirkland in Cambridge when I lived on Magnolia Ave, around the corner. She was with her husband, who she was much taller than. I was almost 5'5" at the time (I've since shrunk an inch) so could tell how tall Mrs. Child really was.

Before the choices came up, I was sure one of the choices would have been Peter O'Toole & the real Lawrence of Arabia. Except that wasn't the order the Q was going in; they wanted you to assume actor would be shorter than Real Person. Lawrence was notoriously Very Short. I've read that the Bedouin chieftains thought of him as sort of a kid-mascot because of his short stature. Which lead them not to be as antagonized by his giving advice, & because they had taken to thinking of him as a younger family member with insight into geopolitics, to take it.
