I Love the 50s and so do you! Posting this a bit early because life interferes at times.

KINGS & QUEENS

1956

Eddie Feigner's famous fastpitch softball team celebrated their tenth year together in 1956.

The "Queen of Country Music" was born Ellen Muriel Deason in 1919 and released her first album in 1956, titled Country Hit Parade.

Name the King's team and the Queen's more common name. (2 points each)

Bit of a stretch bonus: There are two drummers named Roger Taylor popular in rock lore. One was born just before the 50s and one just after the 50s. Roger the elder is with Queen, of course. For which band does Roger the younger play (sorry, it's not King Crimson or any other King-ly band, but that would be cool)? (2 points)

TV SHOWS & THEME SONGS

1950s

Composed by Walter Schumann, the TV show theme was actually titled “Badge 714” and was first heard on the radio series of the same name.

Name the TV show. (2 points)

Crappy promo reverse bonus: If Elwood gets either one wrong, everyone is docked 2 points!

CATS & DOGS

What was Laika's claim to fame? (2 points)

Total points: only 12 (unless Elwood lays an egg).

I saw them on the Tonight Show (and I think in person at Anaheim Stadium). Eddie was well-known for throwing a 100 mph fastball (underhand).
