Who "needs" to read it?

I read it. I don't think anyone "needs" to read it. Why do you think some do?

What is the line you'd draw on a treatment being too expensive to force others to pay for the treatment (rather than letting the others spend their hard earned money on what they feel is best, or simply what they want)? Its probably somewhere between $1 and $1 Trillion, right? So wheres the line? And for those whose treatment is just above the line, would you call yourself a Death Panel member, since you arbitrarily decided their treatment was too expensive?

We're not talking prevention here. There was no prevention or well care that would have prevented this guy from getting his cancer.

Being poor is a bitch. It should motivate folks to try not to be poor. But unfortunately the Left likes to keep folks poor so they make it as comfortable as possible for them, so they aren't motivated to become un-poor.

So what's your price?

This is different. This is the State of Texas (among other states) refusing to accept federal money that they could use for medical treatment of the poor. This isn't refusing to use your own money. This is refusing to use someone else's money just to make a political point. As a result of this political point, people will die who could be saved. It seems to me that's the precise opposite of what a government, any government, should be doing. --Bob
