Dumb Criminal of the Day Award

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Tue Sep 22, 2015 5:17 pm

Posting photos of yourself on Facebook holding a fistful of money you just stole from an elderly couple. Also, tossing the gloves used in the robbery out in the middle of a parking lot so someone can take a picture of your license plate.

Translates to a 35 year sentence.

Lamar Sequan Brown appeals his conviction for first-degree burglary, arguing the trial court should not have admitted evidence obtained from a warrantless search of the contents of his code-locked cell phone. We affirm.
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.
