Steve Patterson is out as Athletic Director at Texas after only 22 months.

The only "positive" one can say is that he was the hatchet man to get rid of Mack Brown as football coach. In the interim, he managed to piss off everyone from the big-dollar donors to the coaching staff (the school with the richest athletic department in the NCAA, and he sends out a memo to assistant football coaches that if they go to the dining hall more than 30 times a year, they'd have to pay $10 per meal).
UT is on the hook for four years of buyout pay for $1.4 mill per year. That's a lot of lunches.
