Pack in peace, mom

#1 Post by silvercamaro » Sat Aug 29, 2015 9:05 am

If the Great Beyond includes a site for lost suitcases, my mother has been rejoined with her cherished matched set of American Tourister luggage. Perhaps that is the true meaning of the old game show phrase, "a lovely parting gift." She was 95.

Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

I'm truly sorry for your loss Judy. I hope Mom finds all her lost stuff in the suitcase.
