RIP Melody Patterson

Melody Patterson, who played Wrangler Jane on "F Troop," passed away on August 21,2015.
She was 66.

Patterson (who later married James MacArthur) was only 16 when F Troop started and 15 when she auditioned for the role (she lied about her age). Her character had a crush on straight laced Ken Berry's captain (Berry was in his early 30's when the show aired) and kept putting whatever moves were allowed in mid-60's comedies on him, which makes the whole thing kind of icky now. Of course, the show itself was bad enough without the ickiness factor.
