It's time for volunteers to step up and do transcripts. I'll take Fridays again.

I can take Thursdays as long as I'm not stepping on anyone else's toes.

I had been transcribing Thursdays for several years*, but last season, with Terry Crews as host, I couldn't stand it any more. As the episodes accumulated on my DVR, waiting for me to get to them, I ended up not even watching the Thursday episodes.

So you're welcome to take over the Thursday slot. Thank you!

*I just checked. Make that "since 2004".

Happy to do it. To me, it felt like there was a stretch for some time where Thursdays were the burn-off day of the week. It was the day where there were always three or four contestants because everyone was bombing out early.

Are you going to take another slot?

No. Let's see if I can regain any enthusiasm for the show again, first.

When does the new season start? I have to see when it airs in Philly since I recall hearing a new show filling its current slot. I think I missed and never transcribed some shows late last year. If needed, I could take one slot.

I think it starts on September 14. --Bob

According to my Tivo, Millionaire with Chris Harrison will be shown on 6ABC a few minutes after 1 a.m., starting Sept. 14 (actually Sept. 15 since it's after midnight). I wish they'd move it to 12:30 p.m., where it was when Terry was host (and show a second episode in the middle of the night).

In New York, it is also moving times: 4:00PM & 4:30PM (double run I assume) (WLNY) & 1:35AM (WABC).

That appears to be when we're getting it in Los Angeles as well. --Bob

I found the overnight times unreliable when trying to DVR second airings and other things so I may not be a reliable transcriber.

The overnight broadcast times are approximate. Allow some leeway before and after.

I just noticed someone complaining on Facebook about the 1:35 AM schedule (which really does sound like an awful sign from WWTBAM's flagship--and formerly hometown--station). Someone from the official WWTBAM account replied about the WLNY double run with a "Hope that helps." Yeah, and how many folks in Where Else get that Long Island station in their cable package?

Do you think WABC holds a grudge against TPTB for moving out of their studio?

It's all about the Benjamins...there is a new talk show being pushed around the ABC stations; and since Millionaire has only been getting a 1.6, the O&O's are shoving WWTBAM to the early am.

This will be overall dismal for ratings as four of the O&O's are in the top 10 largest markets.

I just checked the schedule for Tucson and found we now have two different stations showing the same episodes each day! KWBA (CW) has it at 9:00 AM and KGUN (ABC) at 3:00 PM; both show just the odd-numbered episodes. Both stations are owned by Scripps.

So the transcript team looks like this so far:

Mondays - pcmaxey
Tuesdays -
Wednesdays -
Thursdays - K.P.
Fridays - earendel

Obviously we still need two transcriptionists.

I'm assuming there are shared login credentials for the BBTranscripts user? Would someone in charge please pass that along to me so I can do the transcript tomorrow?

Not sure if we're supposed to be transcribing the second-run episodes. If we are, I only get the first-run, so if someone else could do the second-run on Thursday, that'd be great.

I have the shows from last Friday but still having computer problems so I can't upload the transcripts. I hope to get this fixed this evening.

We might as well hold off on the second-run episodes. They'll be airing in the first-run time slot in a couple of weeks.

Accidentally erased today's episode before transcribing. Can another team member cover it? Sorry about that.
