Who heard about the 8 person executed here in Houston?

Yesterday, women's on/ex/on/ex/on/ex/on/ex breaks into her house, handcuffs all eight inhabitants, the executes each with a bullet to the back of the head.

Ages:

Man - 50 (woman's current husband of the week)
Woman - 40 (his on/ex/on/ex/on/ex/on/ex)
Boy - 13 (his son)
Girl - 11
Boy - 10
Boy - 9
Girl - 7
Boy -6

One part of the story here:
A few weeks before Christmas in 2000, Valerie told police Conley shoved her onto a bed at her Houston apartment and straddled her with a knife to her throat. Conley said he was not going back to prison because of her, a Houston police officer wrote in his report. Conley cut her neck and punched her in the face, she told police, and then wrapped a cord about the baby's neck. He was sentenced to five years in prison, records show.
And yet she goes back to him at least three more times. This time, I thinks she's had enough, finally. I told my wife she's 50% responsible. She disagreed. What do you think?

I wonder if Jimmy Kimmel cares.

Not sure if she's 50% responsible, but she's 100% dead.

And I understand your point (as would Mrs. Spiff). Why keep going back to an abusive person, especially when it's repeatedly like this?

In another report, maybe one I saw on TV last night, the guy should have gotten 25 years in the 2001 case, but the woman refused to testify, moved and did not tell the prosecutors where she was. They could not find her to testify so they could not get a higher level conviction to put him away for 25. He only got 5.

Sadly, this pattern happens all too often with victimized women going back to their husbands or boyfriends over and over. A part of it is that as a result of the abuse they receive, they have a very low self worth and they think that it's their fault for making the husband mad (I burned his dinner or didn't make the bed or something like that). Also, they think that, bad as things are, their husband is the only one who cares for them. And most of these husbands will occasionally have good stretches and that allows the wife to believe that this time things are going to be better.
