I'm not Sprots, but I'm at least tentatively planning to go for part of the tournament. I doubt I can justify the time to attend the whole thing. --Bob

I'd sure like to, but SteelersFan will be gone at the same time, which creates complications. I'm keeping my options open for the moment.

Miss Sprots, if "complications" means you are worried about who would take care of Casey and Annie, I have the best idea! If you would bring them to my house, they could stay here and we could have Rodeo Training Camp. Since my mom got back from Cheyenne Frontier Days, she's been telling us about rodeo, and me and BeBe think it sounds interesting. With my experience in Soldierdog Training, I am certain that I could set up a good program. BeBe says she will pretend to be a horse when we need one for bucking, riding or barrel-racing, and Jett, the great big strong dog next door, says he is willing to be a bull, as long as we don't make him wear those silly horns. I am going to talk to Evil Squirrel about accepting the starring role for calf wrestling, where the calf gets sort of tackled and picked up and slapped on the ground with its legs tied up. BeBe wants to try that event herself, as she already has some experience in that line, critterwise, if not with an actual calf.

Anyway, that's the basic idea. After dark, we can build a campfire in the back yard and roast marshmallow-flavored dog cookies, sing old-timey country dog songs, and read aloud from a great book, "Hank, the Cowdog."

Let me know if you think that might work out for you and your girls. We would have fun, and you could go build your bridge!

Lizbit, you are the most darling girl anywhere! You are exactly right about what the complications are. I know you would be a wonderful Rodeo Training Camp leader, and Casey and Annie would love it too! Casey might try to usurp your leadership role a little bit, but you could just head her over to the herding classes, and she would be happy the entire stay. Annie is very smart and coachable and will try anything. Maybe after you get that mangy rodent all tied up, you could ship him off to Australia! I'm sure they'll know what to do with him down under. Thank you for the wonderful idea, and Casey and Annie will watch all the rodeo we can find to bone up on this amazing idea.

I've finally decided to get with it and start working toward my Life Master. I've been dinking around for almost two decades and have about 130 MPs including about 5 silver. Pretty sure I can get the silver at STACs, but the red/gold scare me -- I'll have to start going to tournaments. IF I can keep my fairly recently acquired summer partner, and my winter partner doesn't flake out on me again, I think I can get to 300 in two years (I'm under the old rules). Wish me luck.
