Nothing much on the wedding today. At last report, FSIL was waiting for a return call from a chaplain he had contacted. The clock is ticking on BD's deadline of three weeks before we call the local rabbi. And we've got to send out the information on the hotels in the area. I've got one with a block of rooms reserved, but also list a couple of others that are a bit cheaper. There aren't going to be that many coming from a distance, anyway, mainly FSIL's immediate family and his buddies. GW's family likely won't come. My MIL can't travel at this point, and the rest of the family hasn't come out here in nearly 30 years, so why start now?
I got jinxed by our purchasing manager yesterday and am paying the price. I was heading over to our other facility, and had just picked up a couple of boxes of files to bring over. She said "Don't trip!" I laughed. Ten steps later, I catch the edge of one of our warehouse palettes and go crashing into one of the shelves and to the floor. Can't remember the last time I tripped at all. Shoulder hurts, and the toe that had the gout-like pain is in tough shape. Not broken, but very painful. Kept me awake (the cat sleeping on it didn't help, either). To add injury to injury, I'm doing a medical test that prevents me from taking an anti-inflammatory for at least one more day. Can I say "Ouch"? Sure I can.
