Best selling true crime author, whose first and best known book, The Stranger Beside Me was based on her experience working in a crisis counseling center next to serial killer Ted Bundy. Ironically, Rule herself apparently became a crime victim late in life as two of her sons were arrested earlier this year and charged with check forgery against her accounts.

Age 83.
