Me and the WSOP

FIve of the last 7 years, I have participated in one of the smaller events at the WSOP (that's poker for those of you who don't know what the fuck I'm talking about).
Although I would like to win one of the events, my realistic goal has been to make it to day 2 of the 3 days event. Typically, shortly after day 2 beings, the money begins. 3 years ago I came close. Missed it by 45 minutes.
This year, I decided to enter into the Seniors event. It started last Friday, June 19.
Things went really well for me. On the second hand of the tourney, I flopped quad 8's ( I had pocket 8's and 2 eights were in the flop). I increased my stack by 60%. About 5 hours later, being a bit short stacked, I tripled up. And I never looked back.
At the end of day 1, out of 4,200 people who entered the event, roughly 550 people remained. I had the 18th largest chip total. ON TO DAY 2 !!!!!!
During the first 2 hours of day 2, I more than doubled my stack, going from 91,000 to almost 200,000. At one point, I had 4 times the average chip stack which put me in the top 2% of the remaining players. I could have even been the chip leader at that point.
But the cards stopped coming my way and I played very few hands. As players were eliminated, the "pack" caught up to me.
During the last 2 hours of play on the second day, 2 hands crippled me. However, I was still in the game.
Day 3 (YES DAY 3 !!!!), of the roughly 60 players left, I was the 4th shortest stack. I didn't expect to play more than 30 minutes. However, on the second hand of the day, I doubled up. And, about 45 minutes later, I doubled up again !!! I was still short stacked, but still in the game. Players were busting out, while my short stack and I stuck around. Finally, three hours into the 3rd day, my AJ got beat by KJ, as all of my chips went in pre-flop. I was done.
I ended up finishing in 34th spot !!!!!!
34 out of 4,200 !!!
HOLY SHIT !!!!
Needless to say, I was/still am very pumped. It was an incredible experience. AND……. I cashed 15 times the amount of my entry.
OH BOY !!!!
