WW2 Paratrooper song. One of the sites I look at posted this song (after I tipped them).
Me and youngest Spock had looked it up after I told him about it from a WW2 paratrooper memoir. There are various versions on Youtube-including one from "Band of Brothers.
I love the spirit of the guys who jumped (still jump) while singing this song.
Refrain is "Gory, Gory what a Helluva way to Die." Sung to the tune of Battle Hymn of the Republic."
