RIP Beau Biden

#1 Post by themanintheseersuckersuit » Sat May 30, 2015 8:05 pm

Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Wow. I don't think I realized he was sick. It's especially poignant for me given what my wife's family is going through right now.

I think I saw something recently but it didn't really register. I'm very sad for his family. --Bob

Prayers to the Biden family.

Watching a report from their home parish now.
