Q2: If they were Adele's ages on release, has to be 1921. That's also the right ballpark for Wharton's prize.

Q3: I would guess Japan, but not w/ surety. JTQ

Q6: Should have saved that jump. Hope +1 knows. All I know for sure is its not Stalin. And wasn't in Burns' series on Roosevelts.

Q8: Would have guessed B but not gone w/ it . And used ATA but not trusted anything less than overwhelming answer. So I leave here.

Go Cookie.

QoTD: "Cotton-eyed Joe" is the name of the tune. Thought to refer to a medical condition. Glad to hear sone modern group had a hit, which I've never heard, with this old-time classic, but the show calling the version in QoTD "campy" would have completely mislead me here. Case of overthinking on my part. It seems the writers consider old-time campy. As opposed to considering this interpretation campy, to distinguish it from other, non-campy versions, which is how the Q reads.

This contestant is getting a lot of 2-clues Qs:

Q1 you could know that either Williams went to Julliard specifically or that he dropped out of acting school

Q2 you could get by knowing stuff about either Adele or Wharton

Q5 you could know the phrase either from Olympic hockey or because the named announcer had said it

And previous contestant got that Q where you could know either which Hawaiian Island Obama was born on (no, not Kenya Island) or on which island the palace of the last king was.

J! uses 2-clue Qs all the time. Problem is that with J!, often one of the clues is so bizarre it winds up being a distraction for me.

#3: One might also have seen it in the popular Disney movie about that hockey team, titled "Miracle."
