Q1: Only one of these painters, Monet, painted something (water lilies) a frog would be involved with. Though I guess a frog in Seurat's famous painting would be hard to find. I never saw book. Go for M.

Q3: Only "apologize" makes sense. These days doctors are being advised to apologize to avoid lawsuits by angry patients, but apparently not drivers.
