Correct. June to December.
Did you audition? If so, when? Did you pass the test? Did you get the video interview? --Bob
Did a video audition on 5/29, Skype interview on 5/31. Passed the test. Went in to the contestant pool on 6/18. Selected as a contestant 6/24, and will tape 7/8.

Congratulations! I guess I really oughta get a 2015 Video Audition thread going, but I've been too lazy so far. --Bob

Did they administer the 30-question written test at some point in the process? --Bob

Yes, during the Skype interview. They held the questions up to the screen, and I played them as if I was on the show.

I don't mean to sound cruel here, but have to ask: Did they give you 30 questions to answer in 10 minutes (which is how they do the written tests)? A lot of us would have liked an opportunity to have taken our tests show-style, with time to reason out the answers if you were given it, as is how the show is played. That includes those of us who passed.

I have to add that I don't think I could pass a Skype test unless given a lot more time.

10 minutes would be 20 seconds per question. I don't think I took more than 20 seconds on any one question. Although the 10 minutes wouldn't have been necessarily consecutive, I imagine I spent about that long actually facing questions.

Hi everybody I'm a new user. I received my email on June 19th. I see that Bob is keeping a list of people who auditioned. I'm trying to decipher your color/smiley codes. Would you mind explaining, or pointing me to the answer? Thank you.

Welcome aBored!

Boldface means the auditioner progressed past the screening interview to a video interview. Green means happy card received, blue means tape date received, and red means forgot to pass the written test. On occasion, I think I've used orange to denote people whose stay in the Pool has lapsed.

When did you audition? Did you get a video interview? What flavor of card did you get? --Bob

Thanks for the info. I auditioned on the 18th of June and I did do a videotaped session. If by flavor you mean postcard/email, I received an email. Was wondering what the odds are of being selected once you're in the contestant pool. Anyone have any thoughts on that? I see that there are at least 2 people who have been selected for taping and noticed that they each were given a taping date 2 weeks out. Wonder if they use this method for the whole season, or if they cast everyone up front for the entire season...or at least as far forward as they can predict their needs. Thanks.

I don't think that date can be right. If I remember their schedule correctly, they were traveling that day from Phoenix to Las Vegas. Or are they still conducting auditions in New York while they're traveling?

By "flavor," I meant whether you got a happy card/e-mail or a sad one. Glad to infer it was a happy one. --Bob

Yes you are right. My audition was on the 17th in Phoenix, and I received my happy email on the 18th. Sorry for the confusion. Any thoughts on how many people make it through from the contestant pool? Or is that a great mystery? I saw someone somewhere write 2/3 to 3/4 make it through...

I passed the movie test on May 21. I did get the taped interview and answered correctly all five questions. I am in the contestant pool.

For the record, has anyone who has gotten to a video interview, whether in person or by Skype, ever not gotten a happy note?

I know not all with happies have been called to show.

It happened with some frequency in years past. Haven't seen many reports to that effect the last couple of years. --Bob

I got The Call on 7/1, and I tape 7/13. (actually, I got an email on 7/1 and The Call on 7/2, as I think their wires were crossed a little.)

Sooooo....any advice on prepping for the show? The transcripts are super-valuable for my studying so far, so thanks to everyone there.
