NBC News reports that a Nebraska woman, purporting to act as ambassador for God and Jesus Christ (no word on when the Senate plans to act on her nomination), is suing all "homosexuals" everywhere for breaking religious and moral laws. --Bob

If I were the plaintiffs, I'd ask for dismissal on grounds of lack of standing. By definition, if she claims to be a Christian, she is a sinner (forgiven, yes, but still a sinner) and is in no place to sue others on the grounds of sinfulness based upon the words of The Lord -- plank in the eye, those without sin casting the first stone, and all that.

That's news. Very selective news. The woman is a jerkwad, but she fits the narrative. So she gets airplay. And the drones go on believing all Christians are like that.

Plenty of jerkwads on the left side of the fence, but they are given a break. They don't fit the narrative. Not as interesting to NBC news.

I think this lawsuit is far enough over the top that no one thinks that anyone with an ounce of sense is like that. Unless, of course, the Senate does plan to act on her nomination. --Bob

She is not a lawyer so she can't sue on someone else's behalf.

And it looks like the Knights Templar need some legal assistance in California

I thought that conservatives were against frivolous lawsuits.

And where exactly are these religious and moral laws of which she speaks? Iran?

I don't want to hear anybody answer "Leviticus". That's the Old Testament. Anybody who says they're an ambassador for Jesus Christ, but lives their lives and thinks solely on what the Old Testament says... is not a true Christian. After all, the first six letters of that word is "Christ". Jesus Christ was put on this Earth to fulfill the Old Testament so that we wouldn't have to. He didn't give two s**ts about whether or not somebody was gay. He said "love thy neighbour". The Word doesn't say "love thy neighbour, unless they're gay". It says "love thy neighbour", period.

Thank you, Pastor, for proving my point.

Judge Judge John Gerrard, according to the Omaha World-Herald, has dismissed her case, without even a hearing.

"The United States Federal Courts were created to resolve actual cases and controversies arising under the Constitution and the laws of the United States," Judge Gerrard wrote in his ruling. "A federal court is not a forum for debate or discourse on theological matters."
