You can hardly blame them. There are a bit more than 167,000 ACBL members in the U.S. Contrast that with the NFL, which averages between 13 and 20 million viewers for regular season games. If you were a newspaper with declining readership, you'd allocate your time, energy, and space the same way.

I thought this was another Mets thread.

Wonder how many people do the Daily/Sunday Xword and other Sunday puzzles in the Times.
